For years, Boston Properties, one of the largest owners, managers and developers of Class A office properties in the U.S., has partnered with Springfield, Virginia-based Signs By Tomorrow, a well-known, reputable sign company, to creatively advertise properties available for lease through eye-catching, building-front window graphics.
With one of Boston Properties’ key markets in the Washington, DC area, the 20-year veteran Springfield Signs By Tomorrow team is well equipped to collaborate on the graphic designs, measure and prepare the advertising space, and print and install the finished graphics. To ensure the end-result is nothing less than exceptional, Signs By Tomorrow uses IMAGin PrintVinyl JT899R by Mactac for these important graphic applications. Signs By Tomorrow reverse-prints the graphics on its Mutoh ValueJet 1624 printer and applies them to the interior side of the glass windows, protecting the graphics from outdoor elements.
“Hands-down Mactac’s PrintVinyl material works the best for this type of application,” says Joshua Patsos, General Manager of Signs By Tomorrow. “We’ve tried other products in the past that have less adhesive, but those don’t work nearly as well as this product, which features the adhesive across the entire surface. The other products fail after only a few days, but Mactac’s product stays in place.”

IMAGin PrintVinyl JT899R is a 3.9-mil gloss clear, soft-calendared PVC film designed for UV and solvent-based ink jet printing. Featuring indoor durability of up to 4 years, it is coated on one side with a clear removable, acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive which is cleanly removable for up to two years off most surfaces. JT899R is a great choice for general-purpose indoor and short-term outdoor advertising and promotion on windows and other flat or slightly curved surfaces.
