MACtac® supplies pressure-sensitive adhesive label material for Four Flags Stamps

The U.S. Postal Service continues its tradition of honoring our country with the issuance of the Four Flags stamp series. MACtac® supplied the pressure-sensitive adhesive label material for more than 1 billion double-side panes of the 45-cent Forever® stamps issued.

This four-stamp series features the classic U.S. flag against a white background. Each stamp contains a single word in large, black lettering, reflective of the Colonial-era printing style, which reads: Freedom, Liberty, Equality and Justice. The late Arnold Holeywell created the flag illustration based on a photograph taken by art director Howard Paine. Paine also served as the typographer for these stamps.

The Four Flags stamps will be issued as Forever stamps. The stamps may be purchased at local post offices, at the postal store website at www.usps.com/shop, or by calling 800-STAMP-24.
