MACtac Graphic Products partners with TUNEDColor Inc., a leading consulting firm that provides services to the large format industries of sign making, screen-printing, proofing, giclée, and photography, to provide on-site color consultation and a wide range of International Color Consortium (ICC) Media profiles worldwide.
ICC profiles enable MACtac IMAGin® users to optimize print quality with profiles engineered specifically to their needs. The profiles are part of MACtac's ongoing commitment to providing a comprehensive library of ICC profiles for the company's digital media.
The profiles take the following into consideration to create a consistently high-quality image:
- Printer model
- Ink formulation
- RIP software
- Media
- Output resolution
Color management and ICC profiles are the most important things that a printer can use to maximize image quality and minimize waste on a particular media. MACtac fully warrants any jobs printed on MACtac digital media and Mutoh printers as part of the Open-Image Warranty™. Mutoh Industries, Ltd. has become the world's foremost manufacturer of large format piezo-electric printers. Mutoh manufactures printers and related peripherals for some of the biggest names in pre-press, sign and graphics industries.
MACtac's IMAGin digital media product line has long been acknowledged for superior printability, which leads to lower production costs and higher customer satisfaction. To ensure that leadership position within the graphics market while optimizing high quality printing for its customers, MACtac is working with ONYX Graphics, Inc., the leading developer and supplier of commercial printing software and workflow solutions for the large-format printing industry.
This agreement incorporates MACtac media and International Color Consortium Profiles (ICC) into ONYX® Workflow Software packages in such a way that when a new printer is purchased, the profiles for MACtac IMAGin media will be readily available upon the download of the ONYX driver. As profile configurations are ever-changing, this agreement offers continual software updates to better serve the changing market.
MACtac and Triangle Digital INX Co., a leading developer, manufacturer and service provider of innovative inkjet inks for the digital printing industry, have formed a partnership to develop a guaranteed system of media, solvent-based inks and overlaminates for use with Vutek™ and Nur™ printers. This three-year warranty enables printers to enjoy the benefits of worry-free printing while passing along the guarantee to end-users - an added value for all involved.
The MACtac - Triangle Digital INX Warranty provides the assurance that finished graphics manufactured on MACtac media and printed with Triangle Digital INX Picture Perfect inks fulfill the specific requirements of the included market segments. The warranty covers systems printed with Vutek™ (x300 and x360) or Nur™ Fresco digital printers, Triangle Digital's's Picture Perfect inks, MACtac IMAGin solvent/UV digital media, and MACtac Permacolor Digital Series overlaminates.
Creating partnerships between MACtac and printing and ink suppliers, like Triangle Digital INX, enables both companies to align products more closely with industry trends, market needs and customer expectations.
MACtac and the Professional Decal Application Alliance (PDAA) share a long-standing relationship, partner to educate all areas of the graphics industry - especially the installer base.
As a PDAA Partner, MACtac works with the PDAA to provide installers with proper training and information through various means. MACtac takes an active role in attendance and support at PDAA events such as WrapQuest, and the PDAA Graphics Application Zone, an educationsal demonstration area at the annual SGIA Expo.
PDAA Certified Installers are recognized as the best in the business. To become a Basic or Master Certified member, interested installers go through rigorous certification testing, measuring abilities in:
- Proper surface preparation
- Graphic application
- Premask removal
- Cutting and tucking seams
- Rivet sealing (advanced training)
- Re-squeegeeing the graphic
All of these testing requirements are of great importance to MACtac as the company seeks to effectively deliver products that are accommodating and easy to use. MACtac's partnership with the PDAA allows MACtac to learn from other industry experts, including those that are most important to the success of any job or project - the installer, as well as offer expertise to benefit the graphics industry.
